Separation: the unbearable death pain that came with the Fall

Adam sinned and caused death to set upon him and the entire human race, "For in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." Did God lie when he said, 'You will surely die in the same day you eat the fruit'? Adam did live a few hundred years after that! Adam did not fall dead after he ate the forbidden fruit, but surely he died a certain death that very instant, spiritually he was cut off from his creator not able to set his face upon Him at all. In other words, Adam was separated. For Adam had been spiritually disconnected from his original source, guilt, fear and condemnation of sin told him to run away from God, far far away never to face him again. Every tree that has been cut of from it's source, that is, the soil dies that very instant, although the tree may take a few days to wither away; A fish taken out of it's source, that is the water, does not stay alive for long, in the same way Adam died that very instant he ate the fruit!

Adam's eyes were opened to worldly sight and understanding, his original heavenly sight was shut down. Adam was brought down to a lesser level of life and lost the supreme Godly standard. He had nothing to guide him now, he was to look after his provisions on his own. He was like an aircraft in mid air without a GPS, never able to know where he was, and where he's headed to. This was the initial blow from the Fall. In plain words, Adam died! Adam was separated from God.

Separation is what is known as death!

Our daily lives gives us samples of death experience through separation to those who we are affectionate with, some separation temporary some permanent.

Death causes separation, man was not designed to live alone, he was made to live surrounded by love and affection. Our daily lives gives us samples of death experience through separation from those who we are affectionate with, some separation temporary some permanent. And the pain you experience defines what is known as death.

Cain Fears of Separation

Cain had just killed his brother Abel out of jealousy, God questions Cain and pronounces the curse Cain will be inflicted with. "When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth." Gen.4:12.

Restless Wanderer describes Cain's life will be full of confusion, instability, not attached to anyone, not attached to a single place, not attached to anything. He will be a wanderer, not having guidance to take care of himself and facing rejection from everyone. Cain immediately knew what the Lord meant.

Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Gen.4:13,14

Separation from God

The most horrible separation is the separation from God our creator, from whom our spirit was given from. This separation causes the maximum pain in one's soul. The emptiness that comes along with it, with no hope of eternity, no hope of love, no hope after death. It's the worst psychological tyranny a person can experience. God showed humanity that He is Holy and mankind is not in a symbolic way in the rituals of Israelites in the Old Testament. The Most Holy place is where the Shakinah Glory fills the room, and no one can get even near it. Only one High Priest once a year goes into the room to make blood atonement for the rest of Israelites. If even a bit of the ritual prior to his entering into the room was wrong the man died instantly. That's why the High Priests tied a rope around his waist which chord went till the outside so if in case he died inside others can pull him out.  No one can get any near the Most Holy place because God's Presence - the Shakinah Glory filled the room. God is too holy, man is not able to even come near Him. Such was the terrible separation that existed between God and mankind. A great valley separated God's Holiness from man's sinfulness. Man had absolutely no way of getting near God. He was completely lost.

Jesus' Atonement Bridges the Gap!

All the Old Testament rituals of giving blood sacrifices are just a 'shadow of things to come', they are just a symbolic representation of the real atonement God has planned to take away the gap between him and mankind. That bridge is the atonement of the life of Jesus on the Cross that he paid as a ransom for your sins and my sins. Remember we are sinners by birth, it is a generational problem that originated from our great great grandfather Adam! It has to be dealt with in our lifetime, every single person is to take his own decision while on Earth - either Accept Jesus or Reject him.
He died in our place as your representative and my representative. It was the divine plan of God, the Secret of the Ages, the mystery of mysteries.

All of the sins of mankind through all ages - the past and the future was laid on Jesus on the Cross. And Jesus became the bearer of our sin. The one we nailed on the cross was our sins and curses. It was for our wrong doings that Jesus was beaten. He died in our place as your representative and my representative. It was the divine plan of God, the Secret of the Ages, the mystery of mysteries. Not understandable to the intellectual minds.

Now you and me can have that peace which comes from God, that love and affection he himself gives. Along with all that, we also get back all those that we have lost in our lives here because of Satan's powers that are also work against us. All of Satan's works fail because greater power belongs to us, and the victory has already been won! All we need to do is just hold on to the promises of God in our battles and soon everything you wanted will just happen!

There is no more separation! No more death, crying or pain, it has been all conquered by our Lord Jesus Christ!   Now everything that you've lost will be restored back to you! Every financial loss, health issues, chaos in family, loss of your career or business, a divorce, or a even a death of a loved one. Everything will come back to you many times more!
“Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  - 1 Cor. 15:55,56
